Dr Emma Drane

 My name is Emma  Drane, and I am a Clinical Psychologist, accredited by the Health and  Care Professions Council (HCPC) and an associate fellow of the British  Psychological Society (BPS).   

 After qualifying  as a Clinical Psychologist from the University of Oxford I began working  full time in the NHS with adults with Intellectual Disabilities. With a  pre-training background in Neuropsychology  I maintained an interest in assessing and diagnosing conditions such as  dementia, intellectual disabilities and autism. I now work part-time in  a senior NHS role where I contribute to and lead on service  development, consultation and supervision in my team  and wider NHS Trust. I also work privately where I assess adults for  autism and/or intellectual disabilities in my own clinic, and offer  components of diagnostic assessments for children at Every Mind Child  Psychology. I am a guest lecturer and external examiner  at the University of Oxford.     

My passion lies in supporting people to understand themselves better  in order to achieve their objectives and maximise their quality of life.  In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family, cooking and  yoga.
