Established in 2018, Every Mind Child Psychology is the dream of Dr Liz Dawes, Clinical Psychologist, who has always had a passion for supporting neurodivergent children and young people. Liz was frustrated by the lack of services available in the area for neurodivergent families, particularly services that embraced and celebrated neurodiversity. Liz often heard from families about the frustration they felt at not being able to access services for autistic children, and those that were available had long waiting lists and complicated criteria to access. She dreamt of providing a service that could offer psychological therapy and diagnostic assessment that worked for the families that used them, that was neuro affirming and inclusive. So Every Mind was born!

Since then, Every Mind has grown and grown, with many clinical psychologists, speech and language therapists and occupational therapy joining the team. We have a fantastic admin team supporting us as well.

Our clinic is located in a detached building which used to be a residential flat. It still very much feels like a home from home, is full of toys and games, and we hope has a calm and relaxing atmosphere for the families that visit us.

Our team of clinicians are extremely well trained and have specific expertise in understanding, working with and diagnosing autism and ADHD in children and young people. They also all embrace our ethos and values of acceptance and celebration of strengths. As a team, we are not focussed on problems, or difficulties, but work holistically considering the child and young person as a whole, with strengths and needs being equally important.
